Meet the author
Cedric D. Nelson
Cedric D. Nelson was born and raised in Oxford, MS. Soon after birth, tragedy struck in the form of domestic violence, which led to the murder of his mother. Cedric was then adopted and raised by his grandparents, William and Cloyes Harwell.
Cedric attended high school in Oxford, MS, before attending Mississippi State University for college. While enrolled at Mississippi State, he became a member of the track and field team before graduating with his bachelor’s in Sociology and a minor in Criminal Justice. Cedric attended the University of Phoenix, where he obtained his master’s in education/ Curriculum and Instruction. He later completed his certification coursework in Applied Behavioral Analysis at the Florida Institute of Technology. Cedric is a certified Life Coach, Motivational Speaker, Behavior Services Therapist, Author, and Entrepreneur. The author is also a member of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity and Toastmasters International.
